International transportation of lithium batteries, whether by sea or air, requires relevant certificates and reports, including:

UN38.3
UN38.3 refers to Section 38.3 of the United Nations Manual of Tests and Criteria for the Transport of Dangerous Goods specially formulated by the United Nations for the transport of dangerous goods, that is, it is required that lithium batteries must pass high simulation, high and low temperature cycles, Vibration test, impact test, 55°C external short circuit, impact test, overcharge test, and forced discharge test can ensure the safety of lithium battery transportation. If the lithium battery is not installed with the equipment, and each package contains more than 24 cells or 12 batteries, it must also pass the 1.2 m free drop test.

MSDS

Packaging
The correct packaging of batteries is of great importance for cargo processes in battery logistics. It is just as important that the batteries do not come into contact with other batteries in the package. The batteries involved in the logistics process must not have expired and should not be damaged. Batteries sold in packages are also expected to have expiration dates on the package. There are also some packaging instructions for batteries. Hard packaging, known as original manufacturer packaging, boxes and plastic pop-up  packaging, is allowed. In some cases, locked bags or shrink films may also be allowed. Repackaged batteries must also be in firmly sealed boxes or retractable packaging. For batteries with multiple packages, there is no need for an additional box or shut down if it is in the original manufacturer package that is turned off.
